Wyandot Midyear MAP Growth Testing

Wyandot Midyear MAP Growth Testing

Wyandot Families,

All Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade students will participate in districtwide Midyear MAP Growth Math and Reading testing to monitor growth and achievement from fall to winter. Please note the dates that your child is scheduled to take their test:

  • Tuesday, December 2nd: 1st & 2nd Grade Math
  • Wednesday, December 3rd: Kindergarten Math
  • Tuesday, December 9th: 1st & 2nd Grade Reading
  • Wednesday, December 10th: Kindergarten Reading

The Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) is a standardized test that measures students’ academic achievement and growth.  The scores from these tests measure skills and student understanding of literacy and math concepts. Teachers and the school team utilize the results of these assessments to help identify students’ strengths and opportunities for growth. Your child’s results will go home with their 2nd quarter report card in January.

Some things that you can do to maximize your child’s testing experience are:

Make sure that they get a good night’s sleep the night before each test.

Eat a healthy breakfast each morning.

Provide words of encouragement.

It is important to have your child at school each of their testing days.

Thank you for your continued partnership!
