May 6th is a PD Day for teachers. There is no school for students that day.

The Wyandot spring book fair will run from April 21st - April 25th. Students can shop at the book fair during the school day throughout the week. Teachers will sign up for a time to bring their class to view the book fair and shop if students bring in book fair money. The book fair will be open to families after school on Friday evening to coincide with the school dance and will stay open until 7:45PM.
Lakota schools will be closed for Spring Break during the week of April 14th -18th. We hope everyone has a wonderful and much needed break.
Fanfare is on April 4th! Beginning at 8:50am we are going to line up outside the building and cheer on our students as they enter the building. If you have a bus rider you will come to Wyandot and line up in the back of the building. Park in the front. April 4th is also Red's Day so we hope to have some extra fun that morning as we celebrate our Wyandot Stars coming to school. Families, we encourage you to come line up with us outside and cheer on our students as a community.
The spring book fair will run the week of April 21st - April 25th and we are looking for volunteers to help make it a success.
“Joey the Can-Do Kangaroo” and his creator, author Chad Caddell, hopped over to Wyandot Early Childhood School during Disability Awareness Month with an inspiring message about inclusion, determination and empathy.

Report cards will be sent home in backpacks on Friday March 21st. Please remember to sign your child's report card envelope and return it to the school.

We are halfway through our Spring Flower Sale! We have a long way to go to reach our $10,000 goal. Make sure to share your student's link with friends and family. Flowers will be delivered May 9th. If you can't find the link please reach out and we will get it to you!

Mark your calendars for our first Spring Dance; Friday April 25, 2025 at Wyandot.
You will be able to sign up for one of two sessions. Due to limited capacity we ask that only one adult attend with their child(ren).

We will have a Sensory Friendly Session 5:30-6pm. This session will include all of the fun as the other sessions but the DJ will play quieter, no use of strobe lights, and have a very limited capacity set. If any other accommodations are needed for your Star to attend please let us know so we can make it happen! The Ocean Room will be available during all sessions for those who need a break.

At Wyandot we celebrate birthdays by hosting a birthday lunch. Students will get a special treat from the cafeteria and a gift from Wyandot. Students can also invite a family member to eat with them. On the day of the birthday lunch, students will receive a sticker from their classroom teacher. Students will wear this on their shirt to show the cafeteria staff to receive their special treat and gift. We will have a zone set up for students and families to eat and get a birthday photo of all of our monthly birthday students.

On Friday, March 14th join Lakota LEADS and the Lakota community to celebrate Pi Day the best way we know how – with awesome hands-on STEAM activities! Come see what our many exhibitors have in store for you. They are waiting to share their love of math and science with you!
