Thank you to everyone who sent in donations for the Read-a-thon. We raised over $7000 and our students reached their reading goal which meant that Mr. Lichey was taped to the wall.
Join Lakota LEADS and the Lakota community to celebrate Pi Day the best way we know how – with awesome hands-on STEAM activities!
There will be no school on Tuesday, March 19th. The Board of Elections will be using the building as a polling location.
Spring Picture Day will be on Monday, April 15th. Flyers will be coming home soon.
Some of our 2nd and 1st grade students have attended an afterschool theater group for the last few weeks and are performing a Wyandot production of the Wizard of Oz. During the school day on Friday, March 22nd, the theater group will perform their play in front of the school.
Spring Break is the week of March 25th-March 29th. Students will return to school on Monday, April 1st.
Our next dine and donate fundraiser will take place on March 26, 2024 at the Lakota Skyline Chili 4pm-10pm. Please mention the fundraiser or show the flyer when ordering. Good for dine-in, carry out, and drive-thru!

There is still time to turn in your Read-a-thon sponsorship money if you haven't already done so. We will continue to accept donations until the end of the day on Monday, March 11th. Thank you to everyone who has donated. Our students did a fantastic job meeting their reading goals.
Lakota students completed whole grade testing for superior cognitive ability with the InView assessment in 2nd grade in November. The InView is a nationally normed test, with which a child can be identified as gifted cognitively, if the score is a 128 or higher.
This is an official announcement that the 2024 Foertmeyer and Sons Spring Flower Sale will be starting soon! Please check your student’s backpack for the catalog offering some of Ohio’s best annuals, perennials, fruit, herbs, and vegetable plants along with the best fertilizer!
Every purchase will benefit our school, so please remember to share your student’s store link with local family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and on social media, so everyone has an opportunity to support our school’s fundraiser by buying plants they would normally plan to purchase for their garden and landscaping.

It's time to recognize our fabulous volunteers! Nominate a volunteer who is making or has recently made a positive impact at Wyandot where students or staff are impacted, and who gives their time unselfishly to our school! You can nominate someone for Wyandot and/or for the Lakota district to receive the Barb Bossu Volunteer Spirit Award.

The popular Lakota Safety Village for incoming kindergartners is back! The program is hosted by the West Chester Police Department and the Butler County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer Divisions at Liberty Early Childhood School.
The Regional Destination Imagination (DI) tournament was held on Saturday, March 2nd. Lakota has 13 teams with over 85 students participating in DI this year.
There will be no school on Friday, March 8th. We hope you enjoy your long weekend.
Lakota Gifted Services provides second opportunity testing to meet the cognitive score requirement.
